Student Artwork on Exhibit at Mesch, Clark & Rothschild
TUCSON, Ariz. (April 20, 2011) &mdash Mesch, Clark & Rothschild has partnered with VOICES Community Stories Past and Present, Inc., to display photographic essays of twelve students. The exhibit will open at the law firm's offices downtown at 259 N. Meyer Avenue, on April 28.
The exhibit, My Space-My Lens, features photographs taken by students during a photography workshop where students were trained in both the artistry of the medium as well as the technical aspects of the camera, allowing each student to execute their artistic vision through photography. Students created photographic essays capturing images that provide illumination and insight into what each feel symbolizes their individuality and youth.
The VOICES exhibit will be on display through August. Anyone interested in viewing the exhibit, may call 520-624-8886 to schedule an appointment.
"This collection of photographs is a vibrant and insightful look into contemporary youth culture," said Krista Niles, VOICES program director, who led the team of student photographers. "Each photographer was given the challenge of documenting one of their most sacred spaces – their bedroom. The end result is a dynamic record of the way these young photographers visualize who they are at this poignant moment in their lives."

VOICES Community Stories Past and Present, Inc., a community-based nonprofit organization in Tucson, was founded in 1999 to provide youth ages 14 to 21 with a safe space, positive relationships and the skills training to document real-life stories.
