Andrew Richards is an Associate Attorney who practices in the Litigation and Business sections of Mesch Clark Rothschild. His practice includes all stages of litigation—pre-suit strategy, motions practice, trial-level advocacy, and appeals. Andrew has briefed and argued appeals before the Arizona Court of Appeals, and appellate litigation is a regular part of his practice.

Andrew received his JD from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2023. While in law school, Andrew spent a summer at the Utah County Attorney’s office and worked for a year as a legal intern alongside the in-house counsel for a large international real estate company. He was active in both the J. Reuben Clark Law Society and the ASU Center for Law, Science, and Innovation. Alongside his degree, he graduated with a certificate in Law, Science and Technology with a specialization in Data, Privacy, and Security.

Prior to joining Mesch Clark Rothschild, Andrew was a law clerk for Arizona Court of Appeals Judge Jeffrey Sklar. His experience at the Arizona Court of Appeals gives him a deep understanding of how trial-court decisions are evaluated on review, which he uses to inform effective litigation strategy from pleadings through post-judgment practice. His appellate background sharpens his approach to dispositive motions, issue preservation, and the creation of a clear and persuasive record. Having worked inside the appellate process, Andrew brings insight into judicial decision-making that strengthens his advocacy at every stage of litigation.

Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, Andrew came to Arizona following his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. When not practicing law, or following BYU athletics, Andrew is an avid road runner and outdoor recreationist. He lives in Tucson with his wife and young family.
